Qualifications

• Bachelor's or advanced degree in early childhood education or equivalent coursework with teaching experience.
• Experience with children with disabilities and collaboration with community partners.

Responsibilities

• Ensure staff protect children's health and safety and supervise to prevent unsupervised situations.
• Provide ongoing coaching and evaluation of teaching in an environment aligned with Head Start outcomes.
• Monitor classroom environment, curricula, and integrate assessment data into planning.
• Monitor compliance with positive adult-child interactions using CLASS Pre-K.
• Implement tools for screenings and ongoing evaluation of developmental progress.
• Identify opportunities for parent engagement through conferences and activities.
• Follow practices to keep children safe and report suspected abuse or neglect.
• Complete minimum training requirements per state and federal standards.
• Create weekly lesson plans reflecting positive interactions and individualized curricula.
• Schedule regular communication with staff about routines, activities, behavior, and progress.
• Complete required screenings on time.
• Organize child files and documentation ensuring current compliance.
• Monitor for hazards in the classroom.
• Provide oversight of incident reporting within policy timeframes.
