Job summary

The Children’s Home Society of North Carolina is seeking a HealthySteps Specialist to educate and support parents of children aged 0-3 in a pediatric setting. You will work with pediatric providers on care coordination, provide guidance on early learning, sleep, feeding, and behavior, and coordinate developmental screenings.

Background in child development or related field is required at the Master’s level, with strong motivational interviewing and data-entry skills.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in a relevant field required.
• Experience with early child development and family systems.
• Bilingual in Spanish preferred.
• Experience in community health settings is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Conduct in-office visits with parents and young children, with or without physicians.
• Coordinate developmental and behavioral screenings and track progress.
• Provide anticipatory guidance on child development and parenting topics.
• Collaborate with pediatric teams and home-visitors to support families.
