Job summary

Oregon Child Development Coalition is seeking staff to assist center operations under Head Start standards. Responsibilities include welcoming visitors, data entry, and supporting teachers with child-centered activities while maintaining safety and cleanliness.

The role covers classroom support, custodial duties, playground supervision, and bus/kitchen assistance as needed. Prior experience with children and teamwork is valued.

Qualifications

• Six months experience working with a variety of responsibilities to include working with young children, cooking in a restaurant, or cleaning in an industrial setting.

Responsibilities

• Greet visitors in person or by phone and direct inquiries.
• Notify staff of visitor arrivals and issue badges.
• Enter data, complete reports, file and retrieve information.
• Assist the teacher with activities and record-keeping in the classroom.
• Perform custodial duties (cleaning, laundry, supplies).
• Assist with playground supervision and safe bus transportation for children.
• Support kitchen tasks for healthy meals and snacks.
