Job summary

Oregon Child Development Coalition (OCDC) seeks a dedicated team member to assist center staff in daily operations, greet visitors, handle clerical tasks, and support teachers and bus/cook staff. The role emphasizes safety, developmentally appropriate activities, and teamwork across the Head Start program.

The position requires six months of varied experience, with a pay range of $17.00–$19.71 hourly. OCDC offers comprehensive benefits and a supportive working environment across Oregon.

Qualifications

• Six months experience working across a variety of responsibilities with young children, cooking, or cleaning.

Responsibilities

• Greet visitors in person or by phone, direct inquiries, and log and notify staff of arrivals.
• Enter data, complete reports, file records, and retrieve information.
• Assist the teacher with activities, maintain healthy, safe and developmentally appropriate environments.
• Assist with custodial duties, playground supervision, and sick room duties as directed.
• Support bus transportation safety and ensure proper seating and belt use.
• Assist kitchen staff with food preparation and record-keeping as assigned.
• Perform general center maintenance tasks and keep areas clean and organized.
• Collaborate with staff and participate in required trainings and meetings.
