Job summary

Oregon Child Development Coalition, Inc. is seeking a dedicated caregiver aide to support teaching staff within Head Start programs in Oregon.

You will supervise children during meals, activities, and transitions, help maintain safety, and assist with record keeping and daily classroom tasks. Education required is a High School Diploma or GED with 1 year of experience with young children; on-site role with opportunities for professional development and benefits.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• At least 1 year of experience with young children preferred.
• Ability to supervise children and maintain a safe, caring environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist in implementing a balanced mix of child-directed and teacher-directed activities.
• Provide a healthy and safe environment by supervising children.
• Assist with teacher record keeping and general classroom maintenance.
• Support playground supervision and transitions between activities and meals.
• Interact with children, parents, and staff in a positive, collaborative manner.
