Job summary

Oregon Child Development Coalition's Ontario site is seeking a part-time Center Aide to support classroom and center operations under Head Start standards. You will assist teachers, greet families, handle clerical tasks, and help with meal service and safety routines.

This role offers hands-on experience in a busy early education environment, exposure to child development practices, and opportunities to learn across multiple center functions.

Qualifications

• Six months experience in roles with children, cooking in a restaurant, or cleaning in industrial settings.
• Ability to perform a variety of duties across a child care center.

Responsibilities

• Greet visitors and direct inquiries, issue badges, and maintain visitor logs.
• Enter data, complete reports, file documents, and retrieve information.
• Assist the teacher with child-directed and teacher-directed activities, and maintain records.
• Assist with custodial duties, playground supervision, and sick room duties as directed.
• Assist bus driver to ensure safe transportation and proper seating.
• Assist with food service tasks and kitchen cleanliness.
• Perform other center-related duties as assigned.
