Job summary

SparkJoy ABA, in partnership with Finni Health, seeks a part-time Early Childhood Behavior Technician to provide ABA therapy to children with autism in the Crestline, OH area. The role involves 20 hours per week with pay of $17–$22 per hour, and a schedule of Monday through Friday from 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM (full-time options may be available).

Qualifications

• 1+ year of experience with children (daycare, school, camp, etc.).
• Reliable transportation to travel to client homes in Crestline area.
• Background check will be required.
• RBT certification within 90 days of hire is required (we’ll help with study).
• Proof of completion of a 40-hour Behavior Technician training course is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Be a Play Leader: 1:1 with children in homes, actively playing and engaging to meet goals.
• Teach through action using high-movement methods for communication and daily living skills.
• Collect progress data and collaborate with supervising BCBAs to ensure the child is thriving.
• Support families with upbeat communication and in-home guidance.

Your Role

• Be a Play Leader: Work 1:1 with children in their homes. You aren't just "monitoring"—you are actively playing, moving, and engaging a child to help them meet their goals.
• Teach Through Action: Use creative, high-movement methods to teach communication, social cues, and daily living skills.
• Data & Collaboration: Collect progress data and collaborate with supervising BCBAs to ensure the child is thriving.
• Support Families: Build trust with parents through consistent, upbeat communication and in-home support.

Work Environment

This role operates exclusively in the client's home environment. You must feel comfortable working inside client homes and visiting neighborhoods within the assigned Crestline, OH territory.

What You Bring

• Experience: 1+ year of experience working with children (daycare, camp counselor, teaching, coaching, or similar) is required.
• Reliability: You must have reliable transportation to travel to client homes in the Crestline area.
• Commitment to Growth: Passing RBT Certification within 90 days of hire is required (we will help you study and cover the cost!).
• Training: Proof of completion of a 40-hour Behavior Technician training course is preferred but not required to interview.
