Qualifications

• Must be associate teacher qualified before Nov 6, 2017.
• Minimum 9 credits or 1,000 hours of supervised child care experience.
• Knowledge of child growth and development.
• Must be 18 years or older.
• Understand current teaching methods and curriculum development.

Responsibilities

• Create an environment that supports Youth Development Outcomes.
• Respond to each child's interests and needs with positive guidance.
• Plan curriculum using an emergent approach to meet youth needs.
• Maintain program goals to ensure health and safety.
• Record observations and use them for planning.
• Oversee and record weekly activities and reports.
• Supervise classroom staff and volunteers; provide feedback.
• Support practicum students and staff with modeling strategies.
• Lead planning meetings and share program visibility via notices.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
