Job summary

Child Saving Institute in Omaha, NE is seeking an Educational Aide to join our early childhood education team. This is a full-time role (Mon-Fri, 7:30 AM–4:30 PM) with starting pay at $16.00 per hour.

You will support classroom staff, help maintain a safe, nurturing environment, and engage with children throughout daily routines and learning experiences. You’ll help children feel safe, supported and encouraged as they learn, play and grow, while documenting daily care, supporting lesson plans

Qualifications

• At least 19 years of age.
• High school graduate or equivalent.
• A strong communicator with staff, children, parents and caregivers.
• Able to read and interpret safety rules, program manuals and other documents related to childcare.
• Able to write daily reports and support lesson plans
• Able to establish effective relationships with children, parents, caregivers and co-workers.
• Able to safely support children’s physical needs during daily routines.

Responsibilities

• Supporting classroom staff and maintaining a safe, nurturing environment for young children.
• Engaging with children throughout daily routines and learning experiences.
• Helping children discover new interests and develop basic skills and concepts.
• Keeping daily records related to care of each child.
• Providing direct supervision in classrooms, on field trips, and during outdoor activities.
• Communicating professionally with parents and caregivers during drop-off, pick-up and updates.
