Job summary

Good Shepard Child Dev in Perrine, FL is seeking a non-exempt Childcare Aide to support teachers in providing developmentally appropriate activities for young children. The role follows Head Start, COA, and NAEYC guidelines and requires adherence to licensing standards.

You will assist with lesson planning, safety protocols, family communication, and daily documentation while supporting a smooth transition to kindergarten. This is an on-site, full-time position.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• 45 DCF hours or completion within 90 days from date of hire.
• National CDA Certificate is required.
• Supervised teaching experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintains knowledge of safety rules and assists in managing education, care, safety and well‑being of each child.
• Assists in developing and implementing daily lesson plans per funding requirements.
• Fosters positive family relationships and conducts parent/teacher conferences as required.
• Ensures health and safety practices, documentation, and daily checklists are completed.
