Job summary

Children's Aid is seeking a Part-time Teacher’s Aide to join our Education team. Reporting to the Education Director, you will support the lead teacher with curriculum implementation, prepare materials, and help create engaging, developmentally appropriate learning environments for preschool children in Head Start.

You will conduct small group activities, assist with individualized instruction, engage families, track student progress, and ensure compliance with Head Start standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; must meet Head Start and regulatory requirements.
• Pre-K or Toddler CDA credential required or enrolled in plan with 24 months to completion.
• Minimum of one year experience with infants/tres preschool children; special needs experience preferred.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish required or strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support the lead teacher in implementing curriculum and ensuring age-appropriate activities.
• Prepare and organize materials; set up learning centers and displays.
• Conduct small group activities; monitor student progress and provide feedback.
• Assist one-on-one with students needing extra support and IEPS accommodations.
• Engage families and assist with conferences; collect and document student data.
