Job summary

Requirements include a high school diploma, 18+ years of age, and 750 hours of childcare experience. CPR/First Aid and Food Handler certifications or eligibility within 90 days are needed, with bilingual skills a plus.

Qualifications

• Required: high school diploma or equivalent.
• Preferred: 20 semester credits or 30 quarterly credits in Early Childhood Education or Child Development.
• Background Registry required prior to employment per Oregon DELC regulations.
• CPR/First Aid and Food Handlers certificates or obtain within 90 days of hire.
• All certifications must be kept current for employment.
• Minimum age 18 with 750 hours verifiable experience in a certified childcare center.

Responsibilities

• Assist Teacher in daily classroom activities and supervision.
• Maintain safety, ratios, cleanliness, and a non-stressful environment.
• Actively supervise children in classroom and playground.
• Communicate effectively with children, staff, and families.
• Follow policy on confidentiality and mandated reporting.
• Participate in staff meetings, training, and education as assigned.
