Job summary

Redwood Materials is building the domestic battery materials supply chain, and our early‑careers program is where engineers, scientists, and operators start. This role owns the program end to end: strategy, budget, university partnerships, intern experience, and conversion to full‑time, within the Talent Acquisition team and with Engineering, Operations, and R&D.

We will scale the program across Nevada and South Carolina, tighten conversion, and expand into co‑op and new‑grad tracks.

Qualifications

• Experience owning an internship or early‑careers program end to end.
• Track record of growing or rebuilding a program.
• Comfortable owning a budget and defending it with data.
• Ability to influence engineering leaders and site general managers without formal authority.
• Hands‑on operator who will recruit, close, and troubleshoot directly when needed.
• Deep familiarity with the university ecosystem and student organizations.

Responsibilities

• Set the annual intern headcount plan with Finance and org leaders; own the program budget and calendar.
• Run the full intern lifecycle from sourcing to conversion decisions.
• Build target school strategy and relationships with universities and programs.
• Train intern managers and ensure consistent performance and offers across sites.
• Design and deliver the summer program, including onboarding and final showcase.
• Own program metrics and report on program health to Talent Acquisition and People leadership.
• Partner with Legal, HR Ops, and Communications to extend the program as needed.
