Job summary

Redwood Materials is building a domestic internship program to train engineers, scientists, and operators as part of its Nevada and South Carolina sites. This role owns the program end-to-end, including strategy, budget, university partnerships, hiring manager enablement, intern experience, and conversion to full-time.

The position sits in the Talent Acquisition team and will scale the program, tighten conversion, and expand into co-op and new-grad tracks, collaborating with Engineering,

Qualifications

• Own internship/early-careers program end-to-end.
• Experience rebuilding or growing a program.
• Budget ownership with data-driven defense.
• Ability to influence engineering leaders without formal authority.
• Hands-on recruiter capable of hiring and closing.
• Deep university ecosystem knowledge.
• Fluent with applicant tracking systems (Greenhouse preferred) and reporting.
• Experience with co-op, apprenticeship, rotational, or new-grad programs.
• Experience with international student hiring and work authorization is a plus.
• Passion for sustainability.

Responsibilities

• Set annual intern headcount plan with partners and manage budget.
• Run full intern lifecycle from sourcing to conversion decisions.
• Build and own target school strategy with UNR, TMCC, Clemson, and national programs.
• Train intern managers on scoping projects and conversion calls.
• Design and deliver the summer intern program and final showcase.
• Own program metrics and report health to leadership.
• Coordinate with Legal, HR Ops, and Communications on processes.
