Job summary

Redwood Materials is expanding its early careers program in Nevada and beyond. This full-time role owns the internship lifecycle from sourcing to conversion, partners with UNR, TMCC, Clemson, and national programs, and partners with Legal, HR Ops, and Communications to scale our program.

You will build a robust school strategy, train managers, deliver the summer program, and report on metrics like offer acceptance, conversion, and cost per hire.

Qualifications

• Experience owning an internship or early-careers program end to end.
• Track record of growing or rebuilding a program rather than maintaining one.
• Comfortable owning a budget and defending it with data.
• Ability to influence engineering leaders and site general managers without formal authority.
• Hands-on operator who will recruit, close, and troubleshoot directly when needed.
• Deep familiarity with the university ecosystem, including career services, faculty relationships, and student organizations.

Responsibilities

• Set the annual intern headcount plan with Finance, HRBP, and org leaders across Engineering, Operations, R&D, Supply Chain, and corporate functions.
• Run the full intern lifecycle from sourcing and offers through onboarding, relocation, mid-point reviews, final presentations, and conversion decisions.
• Build and own the target school strategy and relationships with UNR, TMCC, Clemson University, and national programs that feed our sites.
• Train intern managers on scoping projects, giving feedback, and making conversion calls; calibrate for consistency across sites.
• Design and deliver the summer program, including onboarding, site tours, and cohort projects.
• Own program metrics including offer acceptance, conversion rate, school yield, cost per hire, and retention of converted interns.
