Job summary

Beyond New Horizons, LLC (BNH) is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer for the Base Operations Design group at Arnold Engineering Development Complex, Arnold AFB, TN. This engineer will design, analyze, and assist in fabrication and installation of mechanical systems, coordinating with test and system engineers to meet design requirements.

Qualifications

• BS degree in mechanical engineering from an accredited college or university.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain an active security clearance and access to the AEDC LAN.
• U.S. Citizenship is required due to federal government contract compliance requirements and the necessity to access secure federal databases and networks on Arnold Air Force Base

Responsibilities

• Provide design support for plant projects and test activities.
• Evaluate, select, and apply standard engineering methods and criteria in design solutions.
• Prepare design calculations and specifications; review drawings and data.
• Coordinate with manufacturing to ensure economical designs.
• Review equipment manufacturers' designs and prepare comments and recommendations.
• Foster a collaborative work environment emphasizing openness, trust, and teamwork.
