Job summary

Quiddity in Central Texas is seeking a Design Engineer with 2–5 years of civil land development experience to join our expanding team. You will contribute to grading, drainage, utilities, and roadway design under supervision of a licensed engineer.

The role emphasizes collaboration, professional licensure progression (EIT target, P.E. pursuit in Texas), and growth through mentorship. Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D is essential; strong communication is valued.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited program.
• 2–5 years of experience in civil engineering, preferably in land or site development.
• Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification required.
• Actively pursuing Professional Engineer (P.E.) license in Texas.
• Proficient in AutoCAD Civil 3D and familiar with Texas development standards.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the design of land and site development projects, including grading, drainage, utilities, and roadway design.
• Prepare engineering plans, specifications, and reports with support from senior staff.
• Coordinate with internal team members, subconsultants, and permitting agencies.
• Assist in preparing submittals and responding to review comments from municipalities and other stakeholders.
• Attend internal and external project meetings, including with clients and regulatory agencies.
• Support the mentoring of junior engineers and CAD designers as needed.
• Work under the supervision of a licensed engineer with the opportunity to advance toward licensure.
