Job summary

Quiddity, a leading civil engineering firm in Central Texas, seeks a motivated Design Engineer to contribute to land and site development projects. You will work under a licensed engineer, collaborating with a team and clients to deliver robust planning and design solutions.

Ideal candidates hold a Civil Engineering degree, 2–5 years of relevant experience, and an EIT certification; Texas PE in progress is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited program.
• 2-5 years of experience in civil engineering, preferably in land or site development.
• Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification required.
• Actively pursuing Professional Engineer (P.E.) license in Texas.
• Proficient in AutoCAD Civil 3D and familiar with local Texas development standards.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the design of land and site development projects, including grading, drainage, utilities, and roadway design.
• Prepare engineering plans, specifications, and reports with support from senior staff.
• Coordinate with internal team members, subconsultants, and permitting agencies.
• Assist in preparing submittals and responding to review comments from municipalities and other stakeholders.
• Attend internal and external project meetings with clients and regulatory agencies.
• Support the mentoring of junior engineers and CAD designers as needed.
• Work under the supervision of a licensed engineer with the opportunity to advance toward licensure.
