Job summary

Quiddity is seeking a motivated Design Engineer in Central Texas to work on land and site development projects. The role offers mentorship, a collaborative culture, and exposure to diverse clients across the region.

The candidate should have a Civil Engineering degree, 2–5 years of experience, and current EIT certification while pursuing a Texas P.E. license. Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and strong communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited program.
• EIT certification is required and Texas licensure is pursued.
• Proficient with AutoCAD Civil 3D and local Texas development standards.
• Strong written and verbal communication; able to work independently or in a team.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to design of land and site development projects including grading, drainage, utilities, and roadway design.
• Prepare engineering plans, specifications and reports with support from senior staff.
• Coordinate with internal team members, subconsultants, and permitting agencies.
• Assist in submittals and respond to review comments from municipalities and other stakeholders.
• Attend project meetings with clients and regulatory agencies.
• Support mentoring of junior engineers and CAD designers as needed.
• Work under licensed engineer supervision with potential licensure advancement.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the design of land and site development projects, including grading, drainage, utilities, and roadway design.

• Prepare engineering plans, specifications, and reports with support from senior staff.

• Assist in preparing submittals and responding to review comments from municipalities and other stakeholders.

• Attend internal and external project meetings, including with clients and regulatory agencies.

• Support the mentoring of junior engineers and CAD designers as needed.

• Work under the supervision of a licensed engineer with the opportunity to advance toward licensure.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited program.

• 2–5 years of experience in civil engineering, preferably in land or site development.

• Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification required.

• Actively pursuing Professional Engineer (P.E.) license in the state of Texas.

• Proficient in AutoCAD Civil 3D and familiar with local (Texas) development standards.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

• Self-motivated with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
