Job summary

Mutual of Omaha Insurance Co. is seeking an EAP Counselor to work a consistent 8:30 a.m.–5:00 p.m. local schedule within the Workplace Solutions division, handling incoming HR and employee calls for counseling and resource referrals.

You’ll provide brief, solution-focused counseling, connect clients with local providers, and help build and contract with outside resources. Remote work is allowed from the United States or Puerto Rico, with a strong benefits package and an annual bonus opportunity.

Qualifications

• Master's degree or higher in counseling, mental health, social work, chemical dependency or related field.
• Clinical licensure and completion of clinical supervision required.
• Valid, unrestricted clinical mental health license in state of work.

Responsibilities

• Answer incoming calls in a supportive and empathetic manner to guide employees and families.
• Collaborate with individuals to create actionable plans for short-term problems.
• Identify external professionals and resources, facilitating referrals for long-term assistance.
• Assist in contracting with providers to expand service offerings for employees.

Education

Master's degree in counseling

Clinical licensure or supervision

Unrestricted clinical license (LPC/LCSW/LMHC etc.)
