Job summary

OptumCare in Austin, TX is seeking an Onsite EAP Counselor for a per diem, non-exempt, hourly role. You will provide onsite services to a dedicated customer or book of business, including assessment, referral, management consultations, training, and incident response.

Responsibilities include solution-focused consultations, referrals to Worklife and behavioral health resources, crisis intervention, and on-site trainings. Strong documentation and HIPAA compliance required.

Qualifications

• Masters or Doctoral degree in a recognized behavioral health discipline.
• Current, unrestricted independent practice license.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in a behavioral health setting.
• Ability to work onsite as needed.

Responsibilities

• Conduct solution focused consultations and assist with goals and action plans.
• Assess and refer to Worklife, behavioral health, substance use, and community resources.
• Provide referrals for ongoing counseling and follow-up as needed.
• Offer manager consultations on workplace issues and organizational change.
• Provide crisis intervention and on-site training for managers and staff.
• Document interactions in the clinical case management system per policy.
