Job summary

Henry County Government seeks an Entry Level E911 Dispatcher to answer emergency and non-emergency calls and learn dispatch consoles for police, fire, and EMS. Training is provided under supervision, with focus on accuracy, documentation, and rapid information relay.

Candidates must have a High School diploma, valid GA driver's license, and obtain GCIC/NCIC, CPR, and EMD certifications within probation. Excellent communication and multitasking skills are essential for success.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Knowledge of local government operations and public safety basics is preferred.
• Must be able to perform under stress and maintain accuracy under deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Answer and process emergency and non-emergency calls.
• Enter information into the CAD system and dispatch priority signals.
• Coordinate with emergency response units and agencies as needed.
• Access GCIC/NCIC databases to verify information and assist investigations.
• Maintain records and prepare reports within designated timeframes.
