Job summary

Aether Aerospace is seeking a full-time TIG Welder in Hollywood, MD who can obtain a government clearance. You will read blueprints and project plans to perform TIG welding, with emphasis on heat management and PPE compliance.

The role requires the ability to lift up to 75 lbs and willingness to work overtime as needed. The candidate should have a High School Diploma or GED and at least 3 years of aerospace welding experience; certifications are a plus.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED and 3 years of experience as a commercial/aerospace welder.
• Current and valid certification(s) a plus.
• AutoCAD for schematics and drawings; OrCAD or similar EDA tools (e.g., Altium) preferred.

Location: Hollywood, MD

We are seeking a full-time TIG Welder to join our team. The selected candidate must have the ability to obtain a government clearance and must have good knowledge and understanding of welding applications.

Responsibilities

• Perform TIG weld methods based on project requirements.
• Read and interpret project plans, blueprints and other written instructions and diagrams to perform task at hand.

Key Qualifications

Clearance: Ability to obtain Secret Clearance

Education and Years of Experience

High School Diploma/GED and 3 Year of experience as a commercial/ aerospace welder. Current and valid certification(s) a plus.

• AutoCAD for schematics and drawings
• OrCAD (preferred) or similar EDA tools (e.g., Altium) for PCB development
• Good knowledge & understanding of heat applications, heat absorbents during welding operations to prevent warpages of parts.
• General knowledge of shop practices including layout, drilling, sawing, grinding, etc.
• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs on a daily basis.
• Must wear approved PPE (personal protective equipment).
• Must be able to work overtime, weekends, and other shifts as required
