UMass Lowell Library seeks a collaborative and service-oriented E-Resources Librarian to join our Collections Strategy department and contribute to collection development, focusing on sustainable access to electronic resources that support research excellence.

The librarian will manage the e-resource lifecycle, negotiate licenses and pricing, coordinate with Systems & Discovery, track usage and budget, and communicate changes to faculty and staff while fostering an equitable information

Formación

• Master's degree in library and information science from an ALA-accredited program or international equivalent by hire.
• Coursework or experience in electronic resource management.
• Analytical, organizational, and negotiation skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and work independently.
• Familiarity with workflows for management and access of electronic resources.
• Knowledge of current and emerging tech trends in electronic resources.
• Ability to analyze budgetary and statistical data.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to perform complex problem-solving and decision-making.

Responsabilidades

• Negotiate pricing and terms for new and renewing e-resources.
• Negotiate license agreements.
• Submit invoices for payment.
• Support product trials and troubleshoot e-resource issues.
• Maintain vendor contact information, pricing, and licenses in CORAL ERM.
• Participate in budget tracking with the Assistant Director.
• Ensure discoverability and accessibility of Library resources.
• Collaborate with Systems & Discovery to manage lifecycle and accessibility of resources.
