Job summary

Cornell University Library seeks an Electronic Resources Librarian to join an innovative Acquisitions & E-Resources Licensing Services team. The role focuses on licensing, acquisitions, access, and workflow development to support Cornell's scholarly resources and community.

The position offers mentorship, professional development, and opportunities for scholarship and service within a dynamic academic library. Located in Ithaca, NY, with an early-career focus in licensing and access.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in library and/or information science from an ALA-accredited institution or an advanced degree in a relevant discipline.
• Ability to troubleshoot, research, work collaboratively and develop solutions to complex problems in uncertain projects.
• Aptitude and interest in learning new technologies and standards.
• Excellent organizational and project management skills.
• Strong service orientation and interest in library users' values and needs.
• Excellent communication and analytic skills, including the ability to work well in a team-based environment with a diverse group.
• Experience in and/or demonstrated commitment to fostering learning, research, service and/or outreach in a diverse community.

Responsibilities

• License and acquire electronic resources and manage licensing processes.
• Maintain vendor relationships and coordinate access across systems.
• Troubleshoot access issues and support user workflows for resource discovery.
• Develop and refine workflows to support stewardship of Cornell's collections.
• Engage with professional communities and stay current with licensing trends.
