Job summary

Georgia-Pacific's Alabama River Cellulose facility in Perdue Hill, AL is hiring an E&I Technician to support electrical and instrumentation maintenance planning, procurement, and documentation. The role collaborates with Supervisors, Maintenance Planners, and Operations to sustain the preventative maintenance program and handle on-call emergencies.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Minimum six years of electrical experience in industrial manufacturing or military.
• Ability to troubleshoot electrical controls, instrumentation, motors, power distribution equipment, and variable drives.

Responsibilities

• Perform electrical maintenance tasks relative to the maintenance department’s workload.
• Perform preventative maintenance and corrective maintenance work orders.
• Monitor equipment and machinery for electrical maintenance deficiencies.
• Maintain the cleanliness of the work environment.
• Maintain and troubleshoot PLCs, instrumentation, and controls.
• Work to optimize the mill instrumentation and control systems.
