Job summary

Hargrove Engineers & Constructors seeks an E/I Engineering Support Specialist to provide hands-on electrical and instrumentation support for plant engineering, maintenance, and operations. You will perform field troubleshooting and assist with PLC control-system troubleshooting, update engineering drawings, and support electrical reliability improvements.

The ideal candidate has an Associate degree in Engineering Technology or CAD drafting and 15+ years of relevant industrial experience, with

Qualifications

Industrial electrical experience and strong documentation skills required.
NEC familiarity and problem-solving ability essential.
Ability to read and develop electrical installation documents.

Responsibilities

Produce installation details, MCC single lines, electric room layouts, and control panel drawings.
Coordinate work with staff and discipline leads to meet scope, schedule, and budget.
Mentor junior drafters and provide technical guidance to the team.
Lead design staff efforts to deliver projects with high quality and efficiency.
Communicate project scope and design changes to clients and internal teams.
Prepare quotations and build construction cost estimates for projects.
Review calculations for conformance to codes, specs, and standards.
Assist with on-site startup activities and field inspections.
