Job summary

Hargrove Engineers + Constructors is seeking an E/I Engineering Support Specialist to deliver hands-on electrical and instrumentation support for plant projects. You will troubleshoot field conditions, update engineering drawings, and coordinate with designers and clients to ensure alignment with project scope.

The role requires 15+ years of relevant industrial experience, strong AutoCAD/Microstation skills, NEC familiarity, and ability to mentor junior staff while delivering within schedule and

Qualifications

• Industrial electrical or controls experience; proficiency with PLCs, motor controls, instrumentation, AutoCAD, and electrical drawings; strong technical documentation and problem-solving skills.
• Familiarity with the current NEC code; ability to perform lighting level calculations and wire/conduit sizing; capacity to route conduit and cable tray and to estimate construction quantities.
• Ability to lead a small team, coordinate with process groups, and deliver electrical deliverables within schedule and budget.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on electrical/instrumentation support for plant engineering, maintenance, and operations.
• Perform field walkdowns, verify installations, update drawings and records; assist with PLC/control-system troubleshooting.
• Mentor drafting staff, coordinate with discipline leads, and communicate scope and design changes to clients.
