Job summary

Hargrove Engineers & Constructors seeks an E/I Engineering Support Specialist to provide hands-on electrical and instrumentation support within plant engineering, maintenance, and operations. You will troubleshoot, update drawings, and lead a design staff on 480VAC and 15kV/5kV equipment specs.

The ideal candidate has an associate degree, 15+ years of relevant experience, and strong working knowledge of AutoCAD, Microstation, NEC, and PLCs.

Qualifications

Industrial electrical or controls experience; PLCs, motor controls, instrumentation, AutoCAD, and strong documentation skills.
Familiarity with NEC and ability to perform lighting, conductor sizing, and voltage drop calculations.
Ability to produce installation documents from vendor drawings and develop equipment specs.

Responsibilities

Produce installation details, MCC single lines, and wiring diagrams with minimal supervision.
Lead small design teams to meet scope, schedule and budget objectives.
Coordinate with other disciplines and check calculations for conformance to specs and codes.
Provide mentoring and on-site support during startup.
Develop 480VAC and 15kV/5kV equipment specs with engineering review.
Prepare construction quantities, cost estimates and schedules.
