Job summary
Hargrove Engineers & Constructors is seeking an Electrical and Instrumentation Technician to support maintenance and troubleshooting of electrical and instrumentation systems. You will work under supervision, applying both theory and hands-on skills to service critical equipment.
The role emphasizes safe operation, reading diagrams, and maintaining a range of devices including transmitters, valves, and relays.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma required.
- Associate Degree in Engineering Technology preferred.
- Up to 5 years of relevant industrial experience in electrical and instrumentation maintenance or related coursework is required.
Responsibilities
- Safely remove, install, clean, calibrate, maintain, and troubleshoot electrical and instrumentation equipment including transmitters, transducers, meters, relays, switches, and control systems.
- Diagnose and resolve electrical/instrumentation issues on equipment such as switchgears, control panels, control valves, transformers, motor starters, and UPS systems.
- Operate industrial equipment including forklifts and man lifts with proper safety.
- Maintain pneumatic and motor-operated valves and actuators.
- Read and interpret electrical, pneumatic, piping, and instrumentation diagrams to improve workflow.
