Job summary
Hargrove Engineers & Constructors is seeking an E/I Engineering Support Specialist in Missouri to provide hands-on electrical and instrumentation drafting support for plant engineering, maintenance, and operations. You will perform field walkdowns, update drawings, and assist with PLC and control-system troubleshooting.
Ideal candidate has 15+ years industrial experience, associate degree, strong AutoCAD/Microstation skills, NEC familiarity, and the ability to lead a small design team and
Qualifications
- 15+ years of relevant industrial experience in electrical and instrumentation drafting and design.
- Familiarity with department design and drafting standards and NEC.
- Ability to size wire, conduit and OCP for lighting and power apps.
- Ability to develop equipment specifications for 480VAC and 15kV/5kV equipment.
- Strong technical documentation and problem-solving skills.
Responsibilities
- Provide hands-on electrical and instrumentation drafting support for plant engineering, maintenance, and operations.
- Produce installation details, electrical room layouts, and control panel layouts under supervision.
- Assist with PLC and control-system troubleshooting and documentation updates.
- Mentor subordinates and coordinate with other staff and discipline leads.
- Lead design staff to meet scope, schedule and budget objectives.
