Centurion is looking for an e-Discovery Systems Manager to support the Civil Rights Division of DOJ. This position requires 100% onsite presence in Washington, DC. This is a key high level position. The candidate is responsible for all technical aspects of very large litigation support projects, particularly those with unique and/or complex requirements. The Systems Manager must take a very proactive, leadership role in managing the technical aspects of the project, including actively coordinating with a variety of Government representatives, other contractors, and other project and Contractor components, anticipating problems, hiring and training staff, etc.
Typical Responsibilities:
- Manages user help desk support, system and user documentation, system and user training.
- Oversees development of configuration management, risk analysis, and disaster recovery solutions, particularly for web hosted litigation data.
- Ensures that system and data security are adequately implemented and enforced.
- Consults with the government COR Directs and supervises staff; ensures conformance to functional requirements, technical design, and work standards; ensures successful completion of work, timeliness of deliverables, and quality control.
- Oversees a team of data processors, senior systems analysts, DBAs other technical staff.
- Oversees / Manages all phases of Relativity One (from creating workspaces to ARM’ing workspaces).
- Manages and generates complex productions (load-ready and searchable pdf / native file productions).
- Trains staff on performing analytics and performs task.
- Provides Case Managers, attorneys, and opposing counsel with technical feedback on ESI specifications
- Creates, troubleshoots and repairs Review (formerly Active Learning Projects) in Relativity.
- Priorities tasks and resolves technical issues for data processors.
- Creates statistical reports providing information on collection, filtering, processing, review and productions.
- Stays abreast of emerging electronic discovery litigation support technology and processes.
- Maintains current knowledge of available software applications and in area(s) of expertise.
- Contributes to regular briefings on new technology and process improvements with regard to electronic discovery.
- Participates in legal proceedings, (i.e. 26(f) conferences) and provides technical feedback.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) and 5+ years of related experience
- Must demonstrate substantial, in-depth skills and experience specific to the requirements of the system. Windows based systems will require more specific hands-on experience setting up and running those systems and applications
- At least 6 years of first line management experience.
- Experience in implementing user support with HelpDesk
- Experience developing and deploying new applications to an established user group.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills are required.
- Management skills, systems analysis and leadership skills, communications skills, and attention to detail.
- Through knowledge of the litigation discovery process, and the EDRM workflow
- Demonstrated ability to generate complex PowerShell scripts, and review / correct PowerShell scripts from staff.
- Must be a US Citizen and able to obtain a Public Trust security clearance.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certification in eDiscovery program strongly preferred.
- Hands-on experience with establishing a separate, dedicated local area network.
- Hands on experience with setting up specialized databases or customized applications for analyzing litigation case data.
- May require extended hours on short notice depending on Production or Court mandated deadlines.
- In-depth hands-on experience with Relativity aIR
- Graduate degree in computer science or information management/technology preferred.
