Job summary

The Kroger Co. is seeking a Store e-Commerce Assistant to support the day-to-day operations of the e-Commerce department. This role emphasizes the company values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion and safety in all tasks.

You will help meet customer expectations for easy shopping, schedule staffing, train roles, and maintain orderly e-Commerce workflows. The position requires teamwork, reliability, and a proactive approach to process improvements.

Qualifications

• Proven supervisory experience.
• Ability to read shelf tags.
• Basic knowledge of computers.
• Excellent oral/written communication skills.
• Basic math skills (i.e., counting, addition, subtraction).
• Self-directed, able to execute projects with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Meet/exceed customer expectations for ease of shopping, variety, freshness and cleanliness.
• Ensure team members are adhering to laws, food safety procedures and company guidelines.
• Perform responsibilities required of selectors and customer attendants as needed per company guidelines.
• Train all functions and duties of the selector and customer attendant roles.
• Act as the person in charge of the e-Commerce department when the Store e-Commerce manager is unavailable.
• Assist with scheduling to meet operational and associates’ needs.
• Maintain intake of customer orders and distribute work to selectors and attendants.
• Print and distribute order labels, including orders for perishable departments.
• Troubleshoot e-Commerce equipment and devices.
• Maintain supplies needed to perform duties.
• Maintain organization and cleanliness of staging areas and equipment.
• Report discrepancies to the store e-Commerce manager.
• Perform opening and closing procedures.
• Learn and implement process improvements as directed by e-Commerce team.
• Provide feedback on team performance and yearly reviews.
• Work cooperatively in high-paced environments.
• Manage conflict in a constructive manner.
• Protect customer and business information with integrity.
• Follow directions and seek help to resolve issues.
• Support minors, individuals with special needs, and/or older adults as needed.
• Perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodations.
