Position Summary

The Customer Account Manager, eCommerce, drives sales performance, market share, and brand representation/discoverability for Walmart Inc e-commerce channels. This role is responsible for understanding Walmart’s ecommerce strategy, operations, and customers deeply to create and execute effective strategies and educate the internal organization. It owns the relationship with merchants on dot com and online grocery pickup channels, manages digital shelf and paid search, and is responsible for creating and executing an annual joint business plan, KPI tracking, sharing insights, and addressing retailer-specific requests.

Responsibilities
  • Partner with Store CAM to develop strong relationships with Walmart merchants and site merchants, addressing all retailer-specific requests.
  • Manage and execute paid search on Walmart.com, collaborating with relevant teams to develop strategies to grow market share, e-penetration, and ROI while managing budgets accurately.
  • Maintain Walmart Content Quality Scores.
  • Educate cross-functional teams on Walmart’s ecommerce strategies and needs.
  • Understand Walmart’s ecommerce strategies, organization, operations, shoppers, and best practices.
  • Develop plans to meet retailer requirements and socialize them internally.
  • Identify KPIs, secure data, and report on performance to stakeholders.
  • Create and execute annual joint business plans with cross-departmental collaboration.
  • Implement test and learn plans to improve business performance.
  • Drive sales growth, market share, and brand representation online.
  • Translate category roadmaps into actionable ecommerce plans for Walmart.
  • Develop strategies to meet sales and market share goals.
  • Monitor and improve brand distribution and discoverability at Walmart and Sam’s Club.
  • Collaborate with brand teams and other stakeholders on key programs.
  • Manage trade and retail media budgets, ensuring accuracy in reporting.
  • Provide sales forecasts and conduct business reviews.
  • Support digital growth initiatives and innovation meetings for brands and customers.
Requirements
  • 3+ years’ experience in eCommerce account management or vendor management at a leading retailer, focusing on online sales growth.
  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • Experience with Walmart Paid and Organic Search, including Content Quality Score, preferred.
  • Paid Search agency management experience preferred.
  • Ability to manage media budgets with precision and drive ROI.
  • Strong relationship-building, negotiation, and strategic planning skills.
  • Excellent communication skills to translate retailer insights internally.
  • Experience in planning, forecasting, and budget management.
  • Adaptability to changing environments and innovation.
  • Deep understanding of retailer buying, merchandising, and marketing strategies, especially ecommerce and omnichannel.
  • Negotiation skills and ability to build strong retailer partnerships.
  • Ability to craft compelling stories and engage stakeholders at all levels.
  • Proficiency in tracking key metrics and developing action plans.
  • Digital and mobile platform savviness.
