Job summary

Ledgent is seeking an experienced e-billing professional to manage end-to-end processes for new clients and matters, submission of invoices, and ongoing monitoring of e-billed accounts.

The role requires interpreting billing guidelines, coordinating with attorneys, staff, and e-billing vendors, resolving rejected invoices, and maintaining comprehensive reporting to support timely client payments.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years of e-billing experience in a law firm.
  • Proficiency with Elite (Enterprise/3E) or Aderant.
  • Experience with Serengeti, Collaborati, CounselLink, Passport, BillingPoint, e-Billing Hub or BillBlast.

Job description

Manage the end-to-end e-billing process, including setup of new clients and matters, invoice submission, and ongoing monitoring of e-billed accounts.

  • Review and interpret client billing guidelines to ensure accurate matter setup and compliance with complex e-billing requirements.
  • Coordinate with attorneys, billing staff, client contacts, and e-billing vendors to establish rates, budgets, timekeepers, and billing parameters prior to invoice submission.
  • Investigate and resolve rejected invoices, partnering with attorneys and support teams to correct issues and manage resubmissions.
  • Track and maintain reporting on invoice rejections, appeals, accruals, and billing statuses, providing updates to attorneys and management.
  • Monitor multiple e-billing platforms and support special reporting requests to improve billing efficiency and client payment processes.

Desired Skills and Experience

Core Qualifications

  • Associate's degree required; Bachelor\'s degree preferred.
  • Minimum 3 years of e-billing experience and prior law firm billing experience.
  • Proficiency with legal accounting systems such as Elite (Enterprise/3E) or Aderant.
  • Familiarity with e-billing platforms such as Serengeti, Collaborati, CounselLink, Passport, BillingPoint, e-Billing Hub, or BillBlast.
