Sheppard Mullin is seeking an E-Billing Coordinator to manage the full electronic billing lifecycle for a diverse client portfolio across several vendor platforms.
The role requires independent, detail-oriented professionals with strong communication and analytical skills to resolve rejections and ensure timely invoices. Hybrid work with some travel may be needed.
Sheppard, Mullin, Richter & Hampton, a global Am Law 50 firm, has an immediate opening for a detail-oriented, self-motivated professional to join our Billing Department as an E-Billing Coordinator. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced e-biller who wants to grow a long-term career in legal billing operations at a firm that invests in its people and its technology.
You will work across a diverse portfolio of clients and vendor platforms, own the full e-billing lifecycle for your matters, and partner daily with attorneys, billing coordinators, and client-side accounting teams. If you take pride in getting invoices out cleanly, chasing rejections to root cause, and building strong working relationships across the firm and its clients, this role is built for you.
We are considering candidates in the following of our U.S. offices including Century City, Chicago, Dallas, Houston, Los Angeles, Orange County, San Diego (Del Mar), San Diego (Downtown), San Francisco, and Silicon Valley. There is only one opening.
The E-Billing Coordinator is a key member of the E-Billing Team and owns the day-to-day electronic billing workflow for a portfolio of clients across multiple vendor platforms. The role covers the full lifecycle: matter and timekeeper setup, invoice preparation and submission, rejection and appeal resolution, payment tracking, and reporting.
The ideal candidate is an independent self-starter with sharp critical thinking, strong written and verbal communication, and a genuine interest in the craft of e-billing. Success in this role calls for precision, follow-through, and the confidence to navigate complex client requirements with professionalism.
Required: High School Diploma
Preferred: Bachelor's Degree
California: The salary range for this position is $31.00 - $44.00 per hour.
Illinois: The salary range for this position is: $33.00 - $47.00 per hour. This position is eligible for bonuses. This position is also eligible for medical, vision, and dental insurance. Please note that the foregoing compensation and benefit information is a good-faith assessment associated with this position only and is provided pursuant to Illinois Equal Pay Act.
