Addison Finance & Accounting client in Tampa is seeking an experienced E-Billing Specialist to manage end-to-end appeals for client invoices and coordinate with legal teams.

You will draft appeal narratives, monitor deadlines across e-billing platforms, maintain logs, and provide reporting to Finance and LPM while contributing to process improvement and compliance initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business, or related field preferred.
• 3–5 years of legal e-billing or appeals experience in a law firm.
• Experience with LPM, pricing, or client relationship teams on billing and OCG compliance.
• Proficient with major e-bill vendor portals; 3E and eBillingHub knowledge a plus.
• Overtime flexibility during peak billing/appeals cycles.

Responsibilities

Our client is looking for an E-Billing Specialist to join their team!

• Manage the end‑to‑end appeals process for client invoices, from issue identification through final resolution and tracking.


• Draft clear, persuasive appeal narratives for attorney review and approval to optimize success rates and recoveries.


• Monitor and manage appeal deadlines across multiple e‑billing platforms to prevent forfeiture of appeal rights and maximize recovery opportunities.


• Maintain a detailed appeals log, tracking status, outcomes, and aging for short‑paid and rejected invoices.


• Coordinate with attorneys, paralegals, secretaries, and billing staff to obtain supporting information and documentation needed for effective appeals.


• Communicate consistently and proactively on appeal status and outcomes to Billing, Collections, and client teams.


• Prepare reporting to share insights with Finance and LPM.


• Participate in process‑improvement and training initiatives related to billing and OCG compliance.


• Perform other projects assigned by the Billing Manager and Director of Legal Project and Practice Management.

Skills/Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business, or related field preferred.


• Experience collaborating with LPM, pricing, or client relationship teams on billing and OCG compliance preferred.


• Minimum of 3-5 years legal e-billing or appeals experience with electronic billing or appeals, preferably in law firm environment.


• Knowledge of 3E and eBillingHub a plus.


• Hands‑on experience and advanced skills utilizing major e‑bill vendor portals required.


• Flexible to work overtime as required during peak billing/appeals cycles.
