Mercury Marine, headquartered in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin, is seeking an instrumentation and data acquisition specialist to support dynamometer test facilities for Mercury Racing outboards and sterndrives. You will manage test instrumentation, data logging, and software, performing hands‑on troubleshooting and system maintenance.

The role emphasizes collaboration with the parent facility staff, occasional travel across the US, and contributing to engine development and competitive performance

Formación

• Ability to read complex control system diagrams and integrate instrumentation.
• Ability to work independently on special, unique, and non‑routine projects.
• Good written communication skills.
• Ability to interpret data, independently analyze component failures, and recommend changes.
• Strong mechanical aptitude with proficiency in using hand tools, soldering electronics, and light machine repair.
• Associates of Applied Science in Mechatronics or Computer Science, or equivalent.
• Willingness to travel occasionally for remote testing, competitions across the US, and training.

Responsabilidades

• Support design, testing, and development of Mercury Racing outboards and sterndrives.
• Maintain and manage AVL Dyno facilities and coordinate with parent facility staff on long‑term projects and calibrations.
• Collaborate with outside suppliers to quote and order equipment.
• Update software, PCs, firmware, AVL PUMA software, and coordinate with IT to ensure security compliance.
• Source and prepare instrumentation to support engine development testing.
• Manage data logger hardware, software and instrumentation for Competition series and internal development work.
