Qualifications

• Associates of Applied Science in Mechatronics or Computer Science, or equivalent.
• Ability to read complex control system diagrams and system I/O requirements.
• Ability to travel occasionally for testing across the US.
• Strong written communication skills.
• Ability to analyze data and recommend component or system changes.
• Strong mechanical aptitude with hand tools, solder electronic circuits, and light machine repair.

Responsibilities

• Support design, testing, and development of Mercury Racing outboards and sterndrives.
• Maintain and manage AVL Dyno facilities while collaborating with our parent facility staff for long term projects, upgrades, and monthly calibrations.
• Work with outside suppliers to quote and order equipment.
• Update software, PCs, firmware, AVL PUMA software, and work with IT to keep facilities in compliance with security policies.
• Source and prepare instrumentation to support engine development testing
• Manage data logger hardware, software and instrumentation for Competition series as well as internal development work.
