Job summary

Technatomy Corporation seeks a Dynamics 365 Finance Functional Specialist to configure and validate financial processes for Army Finance modernization. The role covers Core Finance and Fixed Assets within D365 Finance, including dimensions, posting rules, workflows, and controls.

You will work with government policy owners and solution architects to ensure accurate accounting outcomes and robust validation testing.

Qualifications

We are seeking a Dynamics 365 Finance Functional Specialist to configure and validate financial processes for Army Finance modernization. The Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations (D365 F&O) solution includes Finance and Supply Chain Management; this role focuses on Dynamics 365 Finance. This posting supports Core Finance and Fixed Assets assignments. The specialist will apply their specialty to configuration, controls, reconciliation, migration, and testing. Candidates must meet the requirements for the assigned specialty; expertise across every Finance module is not required.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Conduct fit-to-standard workshops and translate approved financial requirements into supported Dynamics 365 Finance configuration.
• Configure financial dimensions, posting rules, workflows, and controls and maintain configuration documentation.
• For Core Finance assignments, configure approved account mappings, budget controls, payables and receivables, accruals, reimbursables, close, and cost accounting.
• For Fixed Assets assignments, configure asset books and groups, capitalization, depreciation, transfers, impairment, and disposals.
• Address construction-in-progress, internal-use software, and project-to-asset capitalization within the assigned scope.
• Define and validate reconciliation between financial records and authoritative property systems with business and technical owners.
• Coordinate environmental and disposal liability requirements with finance subject matter experts as applicable.
• Support source-data mappings, conversion validation, financial test scenarios, user acceptance testing, and production stabilization.
• Work with Government policy owners and solution architects to validate accounting outcomes and resolve configuration and control issues.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED

• 5+ years of experience in ERP financial implementation, financial systems, or asset accounting, including 3+ years configuring Dynamics 365 Finance.
• Participation in a Dynamics 365 Finance implementation through testing and go-live.
• Experience with financial dimensions, posting rules, workflows, reconciliation, control documentation, and validation of accounting outcomes.
• For Core Finance assignments, hands-on experience with general ledger, budget controls, subledgers, and financial close.
• For Fixed Assets assignments, 3+ years configuring Dynamics 365 Finance fixed assets, including capitalization and depreciation, transfers and disposals, project capitalization, and property-to-financial reconciliation.
• Ability to translate business requirements into configuration, explain financial results, and coordinate with functional and technical stakeholders.
• Depth in the assigned specialty is required. Specialty experience is included within the overall experience requirement; candidates are not required to qualify for both assignment types.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS DESIRED

• Experience with federal accounting, USSGL/SFIS, or Army account and line-of-accounting mappings relevant to the assignment.
• Experience with Treasury interfaces or federal financial controls for Core Finance assignments.
• Experience with federal property, plant and equipment, internal-use software, or accountable property systems for Fixed Assets assignments.

EDUCATION

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, information systems, or a related field, or equivalent combination of relevant education, training, and professional experience.

CLEARANCE / SUITABILITY

• Must meet Government citizenship and background check requirements. Any required security clearance and access approvals must be obtained before accessing Government systems or project data and maintained throughout the assignment.

WORK LOCATION

• Remote within the United States.
