Job summary

PlanIT Group, LLC is seeking a Practice Director to lead the Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central practice. You will oversee a team of consultants and managers, drive revenue growth, ensure client satisfaction, and develop best practices for delivering high-value BC implementations.

The role requires strategic leadership, operational management, and the ability to partner with sales, marketing, and client management to grow the BC practice while maintaining high delivery quality.

Qualifications

• 4-year degree in business, MIS, Accounting, Engineering, or equivalent; Master's degree or CPA a plus
• 10+ years of consulting, management, or related experience in Professional Services, including tech leadership
• 5+ years of experience managing a team with mentoring/coaching
• 3+ years of project management experience
• Proven track record of growing a Professional Services practice
• Strong P&L experience
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with C-level executives

Responsibilities

• Define and execute the practice's strategic vision aligning with business objectives.
• Ensure successful delivery of all BC projects and manage risks to meet scope and budget, leveraging on/offshore teams.
• Plan BC project delivery to balance new business with services from existing clients.
• Provide monthly practice revenue commitments on a 3-month rolling basis.
• Drive utilization to a target of at least 75%.
• Maintain clear communication with BC team on resource commitments and client issues.
• Coach and mentor consulting managers and consultants; partner with HR on recruitment.
• Oversee performance management and professional development.
• Manage risk across implementation phases and quality assurance processes.
• Collaborate to improve RightPath methodology with AI and emerging tech.
• Support BC sales efforts and pursue additional business opportunities.
• Stay current on BC product offerings and future roadmap.
• Represent the practice in industry events and client meetings.
