Job summary

YWCA Minneapolis Midtown is seeking a Strong Fast Fit Program Coordinator to design and deliver high-quality youth programming grounded in best practices in youth development. You will collaborate with the Program Manager, staff and families to maintain professional, positive relationships.

You will hire, train, and coach part-time youth counselors, regularly evaluate program effectiveness, and ensure a safe, inclusive environment for participants.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Education, Social/Human Services, Youth Development, or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience working with youth in group settings.
• Experience designing and facilitating educational and enrichment activities.
• Experience working with multiple partners and stakeholders.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with a strengths-based, youth-centered approach.
• CPR and First Aid certification (or ability to obtain).
• Strong belief in YWCA and ability to convey its importance.

Responsibilities

• Design and deliver high-quality youth programming grounded in best practices in youth development.
• Maintain clear, professional communication with Program Manager, staff, families and youth.
• Collaborate with Program Manager on community partner cultivation and alignment with program goals.
• Hire, train and coach part-time youth counselors.
• Regularly evaluate program effectiveness and implement improvements.
• Support a safe, inclusive and welcoming environment for all participants.
• Additional duties as assigned.
