Job summary

YM & YWHA of Washington Heights and Inwood seeks a Youth Programs Coordinator to oversee Be Me Afterschool and enrichment activities in the Youth and Recreation Department. You’ll ensure enrollment, scheduling, staffing, transportation, purchasing and family communications across multiple sites.

Collaboration with staff, families, partner schools, and vendors is key, as is supervising off-site programs and supporting department-wide initiatives and special events.

Qualifications

• Two years of experience working with children.
• Two years of experience running activities with Kinder to 5th-grade students.
• Two years of experience communicating and working with families with children of different abilities.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the daily administrative operations of Be Me Afterschool and Youth.
• Maintain attendance rosters, emergency information, and program records.
• Coordinate transportation, scheduling, staffing, and supplies for on-site and off-site programs.
• Serve as primary contact for families and partner schools, and support department communications.
• Support onboarding and training of new staff on procedures.
