Job summary

YM&YWHA of Washington Heights & Inwood is seeking a Youth Programs Coordinator to manage Be Me Afterschool and related enrichment programs. You will handle day-to-day admin, enrollment, scheduling, and transportation, while coordinating staff and vendors to keep programs running smoothly.

You will partner with schools and families, support off-site activities, and help implement department initiatives and events. This role is part-time with afternoons and Sunday coverage.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required; College degree preferred.
• Two years of experience working with children.
• Two years of experience running activities with Kinder to 5th-grade students.
• Two years of experience communicating and working with families with children of different abilities.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the daily administrative operations of Be Me Afterschool and Youth programs.
• Maintain attendance rosters, emergency info, and program records; prepare enrollment and staffing reports.
• Coordinate purchasing of supplies, curriculum materials, and equipment.
• Oversee off-site program coordination and serve as primary contact for satellite locations and partners.
• Schedule classrooms, transportation, staffing, and supplies; ensure staff-child ratios.
• Support compliance with licensing requirements and department policies; manage inventory and logistics.
• Communicate registration updates and program reminders; maintain family communications.
