Job summary

Dollar General is hiring for a warehouse associate responsible for efficient handling of merchandise in the distribution center. The role includes moving goods, verifying orders, palletizing, replenishment, and preparing shipments to stores.

Candidates should be able to operate RF devices, use basic arithmetic, and maintain safety and quality standards in a fast-paced setting. This is a full-time, on-site position at our distribution facility.

Qualifications

• Communication with coworkers, directions, reports and inquiries
• Basic math concepts for accuracy
• Ability to use RF units
• Learn operations of motorized movement equipment
• Maintain annual certification requirements
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Experience in automated distribution centers preferred
• Experience with WMS preferred

Responsibilities

• Move merchandise within the distribution center by hand or with equipment
• Verify and audit merchandise against orders; record data
• Identify, label, and palletize merchandise
• Replenish pick areas based on reports
• Fulfill store orders by moving items to conveyor
• Load outgoing merchandise into trailers
• Report damages or vendor issues to supervisor
• Collaborate with supervisor to resolve discrepancies
• Meet safety, productivity, and quality standards
• Perform other duties as assigned
