Job summary

Dollar General is seeking a Warehouse Associate to efficiently handle merchandise within the distribution center. You will move, verify, and palletize goods, and support multiple areas of warehouse operations to meet daily objectives.

Strong communication, basic math, and the ability to operate RF units and forklifts are essential. A high school diploma is preferred, and prior automated DC experience is a plus for this role.

Qualifications

• Communication skills to interact with co-workers and management
• Basic math concepts for counting and transactions
• Ability to use a Radio Frequency Unit for data entry
• Ability to learn basic operation of motorized merchandise movement equipment
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Experience in automated distribution centers preferred

Responsibilities

• Move incoming or outgoing merchandise within the distribution center by hand, hand truck, or forklift.
• Check, verify and audit merchandise against orders and document data.
• Identify, label, and palletize merchandise onto flats.
• Replenish pick areas based on reports and requests.
• Fill merchandise orders from stores by moving items to conveyor.
• Load outgoing merchandise into trailers.
• Report damages and vendor issues to supervisor.
• Collaborate with supervisor to resolve problems or discrepancies.
• Meet safety, productivity and quality standards.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
