Job summary

Rice Companies is seeking a Traveling Project Superintendent based in Sioux Falls, SD, to lead on-site construction activities for multiple projects. You will coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and Rice Companies staff, maintaining high quality, safety, and schedule adherence while traveling to in-state and out-of-state sites.

Requirements include five years of construction leadership, OSHA 10, SWPPP, and various equipment certifications; a strong ability to read plans and manage budgets is

Qualifications

• Five (5) years of progressively responsible, broad-based commercial construction leadership experience.
• OSHA 10 Certification
• SWPPP Certification
• Equipment certifications (scissor lift, forklifts, boom lifts, skid steer, etc.)
• Demonstrated ability to read and interpret plans/prints
• Willingness to travel 2–4 weeks on site with lodging provided

Responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate on-site construction activities of subcontractors, suppliers, and Rice Companies personnel.
• Maintain schedule with four-week look-ahead and monitor budget for quality workmanship.
• Document daily reports and inspections; ensure safety practices on site.
• Build relationships with owners, inspectors, and subcontractors; resolve issues.
• Verify drawings are used by crews and subcontractors; promote site safety.
