Job summary

Gallant is seeking an experienced field supervisor for commercial construction projects in Crystal Lake, IL. The role focuses on leading field operations, coordinating subcontractors, and maintaining project schedules to meet demanding deadlines.

You will drive safety, quality control, and risk management on site. The ideal candidate has 10+ years in construction, strong problem-solving skills, and proficiency with MS Project and Microsoft Office.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of commercial construction and site supervision experience.
• Significant experience in ground-up and renovation projects.
• Microsoft Project experience preferred, but not required; proficient in Outlook, Word and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Oversee field operations and manage sub-contractors.
• Develop and manage the project schedule with the project manager.
• Develop and update look-ahead schedules.
• Coordinate subcontracts, drawings and specifications.
• Communicate with customers, architects, subcontractors and staff.
• Identify and mitigate project risks.
• Enforce company safety program, OSHA standards and laws.
• Manage quality control processes throughout the project schedule.
• Handle safety risks on the job site and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities:

• Overall field operations and sub-contractor management
• Develop and manage the project schedule with project manager
• Develop and update look ahead schedule
• Coordinate subcontracts, drawings and specification
• Communicate with Customer, Architect, subcontractors and staff
• Identify and mitigate project risks
• Enforce company safety program, OSHA operating standards and laws
• Manage the quality control processes throughout the project schedule
• Handle and evaluate safety risks on the job site.
• Process and Handle Stressful Deadlines Professionally

Qualifications:

• 10+ years of commercial construction, site supervision experience
• Thorough and quick-thinking skills
• Significant Experience in ground-up and renovation experience
• Microsoft Project experience preferred, but not required
• Outlook, Word and Excel skills
• Ability to lift/transport up to 50 pounds
• Driver’s License
• Ability to walk on uneven ground construction site
