Job summary

Chelmsford Public Schools is accepting applications for a SummerQuest Supervisor in the Chelmsford Community Education Center. The role leads the SummerQuest team, supervises a group of students, and coordinates activities with the Childcare Supervisor to ensure a smooth, engaging summer program.

The ideal candidate will have strong organizational and time management skills, experience supervising staff, and familiarity with summer programs.

Qualifications

• We are looking for a strong leader to join our preteen/teen program SummerQuest. The ideal candidate will be comfortable providing leadership to both staff, children and teens.
• This individual will report to the Childcare Supervisor and work with the SummerQuest team to plan and run a smooth summer program.
• BS in Elementary Education preferred.
• 3+ years’ supervisory experience preferred.
• Experience working in a summer program required.

Responsibilities

• Supervise a group of 30-40 students in grades 5-9 during field trips.
• Manage staff to ensure all procedures for SQ are followed.
• Assist staff with behavior management and planning with the Childcare Supervisor.
• Mentor, train and inspire staff.
• Create daily plans based on field trips and share with families.
• Assign staff schedules to meet program needs.
• Evaluate SQ staff and attendance paperwork.
