Job summary

Choosecolumbusga is seeking a Substitute Teacher for the Early Head Start program in the community. In the absence of the regular teacher, you will implement daily lesson plans and schedules, assist staff, maintain classroom order, and support families and children.

Qualifications include a High School Diploma or GED with at least one year of childcare experience with infants/toddlers; CDA or AA in ECE is preferred. A valid driver's license and access to transportation may be required.

Qualifications

• Must have high school diploma or GED.
• At least one year of experience with infants/toddlers in a childcare setting preferred.
• CDA certificate or an AA in ECE is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Implements daily lesson plans and schedules.
• Organizes and maintains learning centers within the classroom.
• Maintains order using positive behavior management approaches.
• Recruits volunteers and solicits in-kind contributions.
• Acts as an advocate for the Head Start program, families and children.
